Teaching

Teaching is not just a profession for me, teaching gives a sense of purpose to my life, a sense that my work can make a meaningful contribution to society. My passion for teaching started when I was a student. My teachers and professors were my role models and contributed to awaken my desire to teach. Inspired by them, in my 20s I was tutoring in Mathematics, Statistics and Economics the university colleagues at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Rome La Sapienza. The fulfilment and reward of teaching were incredibly huge for me already at that time.

My passion for teaching stems from a deep belief in the transformative power of education. As an educator, I am inspired by the opportunity to empower students, ignite their intellectual curiosity, and help them develop the critical thinking and problem- solving skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Education, particularly in fields like social finance, has the potential to change lives and, by extension, change the world. Students are not only engaged with complex financial theories, but also explore how these ideas can be applied to solve pressing social and environmental issues. I believe that teaching in this area can motivate and encourage young adults to become the best version of themselves; to have an impact and make a difference in the world.

Since 2018, I teach finance and social finance in two European business schools: (i) the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Groningen (RUG) and (ii) the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (SBS-EM) of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
